Editorial policy

Checked 2026-10-28. One page, one question: Show how facts are checked before they are published.

What counts as checked

A figure is checked when two sources that do not share an owner say the same thing. Google Play and AndroidRank can be that pair. The App Store page and the iTunes API cannot: both are Apple. The Steam page and the Steam API cannot: both are Valve. When only one family exists, the sentence says so.

Sources I use are store pages, developer sites, Roblox and Steam APIs, wikis with a citation trail, and public videos (title, description, and the picture). I do not require anyone to launch a game, sign in, or spend money to verify a line on this site.

Disagreement and silence

If two counters disagree, both numbers stay. The Slopwork player count is the example: 424 in the Roblox API and 749 on RoVitals the same day. I do not average them. If a version number, file size, or price was not on the page, the cell stays empty. Prices are labeled with the day they were read, because discounts end.

Corrections go to [email protected]. The page date at the top moves when the text changes. Store dates live in the update log.

The rule I fail most often is the average. Two player counts feel like they want to become one. Leaving both on the page is the whole policy, in one habit.

Questions

Do you play every game before writing?

No. The check is public pages and APIs. A first-person line on a page is about that reading, and it says so.

Will you add a score from this site?

No. Ratings in the text are store counters with a source. They are not a score we invented.
