Privacy policy

Checked 2026-10-28. One page, one question: Name every third party the site loads, the keys it writes, how long they last, and how to turn them off.

Who is responsible

The guide desk at ragdollsandbox.net is the controller for the choices and measurements described here. Email [email protected]. This policy matches the scripts on the site as of 2026-10-28. Pages are static and served from our own host; fonts are local files, not a third-party font service.

What loads, and when

Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra sponsored placements load on the first page view by default, without waiting for a click. The browser receives a Consent Mode v2 default with advertising storage denied, then a first visit is treated as granted so the scripts request immediately; the banner remains visible so you can withdraw. Pressing Reject turns those third parties off and remembers that choice for 180 days. Pressing Accept keeps them on. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner so the choice can be changed at any time.

YouTube is different: the player is not requested on first paint. A click-to-play facade loads www.youtube-nocookie.com only after you press the play button on a video. Until then no YouTube request is made.

If the browser sends Global Privacy Control, or Do Not Track is 1, the site treats the visit as rejected, writes the denied record, and does not load Clarity or the ad scripts.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-5NMBT8W8CW, delivered by www.googletagmanager.com and sending measurement requests to www.google-analytics.com) to count page views and see which guides are read. GA4 sets _ga and _ga_5NMBT8W8CW cookies on ragdollsandbox.net; both last up to 2 years. Event data in the GA4 property is kept for 14 months. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring editorial pages, with consent where local law requires it. IP addresses are not used to identify a person. Reject sets the Google Analytics disable flag, removes the gtag.js script and updates analytics consent to denied; Accept updates it to granted and loads the tag. Google’s policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity (project z4imqu1t12) for heat maps and session recordings so we can see where a guide is hard to use. The tag is loaded from www.clarity.ms; observed measurement requests use scripts.clarity.ms and changing Clarity-controlled subdomains such as f.clarity.ms, k.clarity.ms, a.clarity.ms and r.clarity.ms. Clarity sets _clck (about 1 year), _clsk (about 1 day) and CLID (about 1 year), and may set Microsoft cookies such as MUID on its own domains. Clarity masks form inputs and text by default, and recordings are retained for up to 30 days; aggregated heat-map data can last longer. The legal basis is consent, requested through the banner and withdrawn by Reject, which removes the Clarity script and calls the Clarity consent API with false. Microsoft’s policy is at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

Adsterra sponsored placements

We load two Adsterra placements from bicea.org: a Native Banner inside the page (unit 31959310) and a Social Bar fixed at the bottom of the viewport (unit 31959311). Our seller declaration in /ads.txt is adsterra.com,3403020,DIRECT. Adult ads are switched off in the Adsterra panel.

Adsterra and its demand partners may set cookies or local storage on ragdollsandbox.net, bicea.org and their partners’ domains to cap frequency, measure clicks and choose creatives. In the first page view we observed requests to bicea.org, static.nresystems.com, cdn.storageimagedisplay.com, cdn.show-creative1.com, cdn.show-sb.com and cdn.cloudpiko.com; these are the hosts that appeared in the mobile preflight measurement, and partner responses can change. Names observed in the delivered loaders include _eabid, _eabk, _eeabb and _eppk; the vendor may add others. Retention is set by Adsterra and can run up to about 13 months. The legal basis is consent. Reject removes the ad scripts and the floating bar and keeps that choice for 180 days.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google ad settings, aboutads.info, youronlinechoices.com and networkadvertising.org. Opting out does not remove ads; it stops personalized ads. Adsterra’s policy is at adsterra.com/privacy-policy.

YouTube

Some guide pages embed a YouTube video behind a play button. Pressing play loads www.youtube-nocookie.com in an iframe; YouTube and Google may then set cookies and receive your IP address and request headers, under Google’s privacy policy. Nothing from YouTube is requested before that click. The legal basis is your action in requesting the video.

The keys this site writes

rsb_consent_v1 in localStorage holds granted or denied and an expiry. It lasts 180 days, after which it is ignored. rsb_floating_closed_v1 remembers that you closed the Adsterra Social Bar and has no expiry; clear site data to remove it. These two keys are written by our own script, not by an ad vendor. Legal basis for the consent record is consent, and legitimate interest in remembering a Reject so the banner does not keep asking.

Rights and changes

You can ask for a copy of mail you sent us, ask us to delete that correspondence, or object to how a correction email is kept. We keep correction mail as long as the page it fixed is live, then delete it on request. You may lodge a complaint with your local authority. Changes to this policy show up as a new updated date on this page and a note in the footer check date when the behavior changes.

I name the GA4 measurement id, the Clarity project and both Adsterra unit ids on this page because a privacy policy that hides behind “third-party partners” is not one I would trust with my own browser.

Questions

Do third parties load before I click Accept?

Yes. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra load on the first page view by default; Consent Mode starts advertising storage denied, then the no-record first visit is treated as granted and the banner tells you how to withdraw. Reject turns them off for 180 days. YouTube loads only after you press play.

Which cookies and keys does the site use?

Our own: rsb_consent_v1 (180 days) and rsb_floating_closed_v1. Google Analytics 4: _ga and _ga_5NMBT8W8CW. Clarity: _clck, _clsk, CLID, and possible Microsoft cookies such as MUID. Adsterra: _eabid, _eabk, _eeabb and _eppk on bicea.org and partner domains.

How do I change my choice?

Use Cookie settings in the footer, then Accept or Reject. Reject stores denied for 180 days and removes the GA4, Clarity and Adsterra scripts.
